what version is the server?
the server is on version 1.21.1 (java). you can technically join with earlier versions, but we recommend 1.21.1 for the best experience.
is bedrock supported?
no, bedrock is not supported, sorry!
how do i join the server?
you can join the server by entering the IP address "lyamargarita.com" in your minecraft client (version 1.21.1).
what sort of server is this?
margaritaville is a survival server, with a focus on fostering community rather than the endless grind. we have a carefully selected range of plugins to enhance gameplay, but it's otherwise vanilla. the economy is carefully balanced to try and avoid inflation. we reserve the right to take corrective action if we feel the economy is getting out of hand.
do you have ranks/keys i can buy?
yes! but not in the traditional sense. our promise to you is this: no pay to win, ever. we promise. in line with this, we do not have any ranks or keys that can be purchased. however, there are ways to earn ranks and keys! see below for more information.
how do i get a rank?
you can join our Discord server and earn points by being active within the community. once you reach a certain number of points, you will be rewarded with a rank on the server! to make sure you get your ranks, you'll need to run the '/discordsrv link' command in the Discord server so your Discord account is linked to your Minecraft account.
level 25: fern rank
level 40: orchid rank
level 55: sunflower rank
can i apply for staff?
keep an eye on our Discord server, we'll announce when we're looking for new staff members!
how can i get keys?
keys are handed out by lya or her staff. they cannot be purchased. please don't ask us for one.
can i use mods?
absolutely! you may use mods to enhance gameplay (e.g. litematica, fullbright), providing they are not used to gain an unfair advantage, which is against our rules. if you're unsure, ask a staff member!

i've been banned
if you've been banned, join our Discord server and message a staff member. please don't message lya directly. decisions regarding appeals are final.
i've been muted
if you've been muted, it's likely for a good reason. most mutes are temporary and cannot be appealed. if you are permanently muted, you may appeal by joining our Discord server and messaging a staff member.
